The 512 Two Door controller can be connected to the PAC SecureNet or EasiNet software via the RS232 directly to the PC or by a remote connection such as GSM or GPRS. The controllers can also be linked together as part of a network of controllers (a maximum of 24) connected by the RS485 port. PAC's 512 controllers have been designed to provide a flexible configuration to help secure and monitor customer's premises, capable of controlling the access through two individual doors with the option of having read in/out on both channels. On-board relays are included for each door channel which can be configured to monitoring external devices such as door contacts or tamper circuits and a separate relay for controlling the door lock. Designed with distributed intelligence all access decisions are made by the PAC 512 controller, sustaining access decisions in the event of communication failure to the administration software.

Communication to the controlling software can be via GSM/GPRS or Telephone Modem by using an appropriate device connected via the RS232 port or direct to the PC by RS485, or IP. The PAC 512 controller can also be configured to provide local anti-passback to increase the security of key doors.

The PAC 512 can control up to 23 additional PAC 512's via the built in RS485 connection, allowing a simple and speedy system expansion. The 512 is capable of controlling access to your premises through two individual doors with the option of having read in/out on both channels. On-board I/O is for each door which can be configured to monitor and control external devices, such as door contacts or tamper circuits. There is also a separate relay for controlling each door lock.

Designed with distributed intelligence, all access decisions are made by the local PAC 512 controller. This ensures both security and access are maintained in the event of communication loss to the administration PC. The 512 controller can also be configured to provide local anti-passback, therefore increasing the security on key doors in your premises. Manages Access through Two Doors -Read In/Out when using PAC and PAC64 output readers.
